National Disability Insurance Scheme
What is NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a program supported by the Australian Government that provides assistance and services to people with disabilities.

The main goal of the NDIS is to help individuals with disabilities live independently, participate in society, and achieve their personal aspirations. To access the NDIS, individuals must first determine their eligibility by meeting with a planner or local area coordinator. If deemed eligible, a tailored plan is developed that outlines the required support and services to help them meet their goals.

The NDIS provides funding for a range of support and services, including assistive technology, home modifications, personal care, and therapy. After their personalised plan is created, individuals can choose their service providers and manage their funding, which gives them greater control over the support and services they receive. The NDIS is a vital resource for individuals with disabilities, empowering them to take control of their lives and remove barriers to create a more inclusive society for all Australians.
